In a statement last Wednesday, Food & Life Companies said it had filed a police report against the customer, alleging damages. The company is taking the incident seriously. Now, videos of people licking shared soy sauce bottles and messing with plates of food on conveyor belts are prompting critics to question their prospects in a Covid-conscious world. I popped one into my mouth - bigger than bite size - with the result of looking like a 6 year old birthday-boy with his face over-stuffed with birthday cake. They weren't too bad, but not good either. These were a little better, but only just. I ate a little more, then gave up - dissatisfied. On my first bite into the fried chicken I bit into a big hunk of bone and gristle - yuk! I took it out and persevered, but the miso was not nice. The first thing I notice was that there was no spoon with which to eat the soup base with. I then ordered a ramen dish with noodle and fried chicken, with a miso base, some Hokien noodles, plus bamboo shoots, etc. I tried to explain to the two staff members that beer must be served ice cold, but they had no idea what I was talking about. For starters I ordered a Singha beer, which was brought to me fairly promptly in a stubby and a frosted glass - a nice touch, but when I poured the beer, it was warm! - yes WARM beer. English (except for the phrase "Excuse me sir"), and there was a complete lack of communication. I was disappointed to find that 'Sushi Boy' was not up to this high standard.
