![]() My sister was able to upgrade to a “penthouse” room with a jacuzzi tub at an additional cost. Our rooms were ok, with large bathrooms and balcony overlooking the pool and beach. To say Finikas boutique hotel was in a remote location is an understatement but luckily so! We were welcomed by the smiling and helpful reception staff (Anastasia) and enjoyed a welcome drink offered to us by the manager himself, who was ever present, hands on, kind, and mild mannered. My husband and I returned to Greece after 4 years with my sister and brother in law and this time we chose to stay in Naxos although our travel agent selected this hotel, we knew nothing about it. Drive further to get to actual Pyrgaki or get a beach towel and an umbrella and go to the nearby Alyko beach instead - it’s wild but way more beautiful and no one will try to squeeze some cash out of you. It was clear the hotel team was eager to change whatever they told us to get some more money out. ![]() We asked him to bring the change from 50 euros, and when he came back he said the price was now double because there were “too many” of us (we were four and we didn’t plan to stay there for the whole day), and each sun bed was now 25, so 50 in total. We started bringing our stuff over, and he told us it was now 25 euros because we wouldn’t be ordering from the hotel (which seemed fair even though we didn’t tell him that). A hotel employee told us that it would be 20 euros. ![]() We arrived and wanted to rent an umbrella and two sun beds. Don’t go to the beach of this hotel if you’re not staying in! We headed to Pyrgaki beach and mistakenly stopped right near this hotel (we thought that was the actual Pyrgaki), and they will cheat and lie to get more money out of you. ![]()
